Purple Belt · Baseball Bat Choke
Deivid explains the baseball choke from his back in the gi. His caption gives the choke its Japanese name, Ura Juji Jime, and explains that it works on the trachea and the blood vessels of the neck.
You are on your back with your partner kneeling in front of you, inside your guard. Reach up and take a deep grip on his collar, high by the side of his neck.
Feed your second hand across to the other side of his neck and grip the other collar. Your two forearms now cross in front of his throat — the baseball-bat shape that gives the choke its name. The caption names this choke Ura Juji Jime.
Turn onto your side and keep the crossed grips tight. Your partner folds forward and down over you as the choke closes, and the final frames show him collapsed on top of the locked grips.
