Blue Belt · Guard → Half Guard
This is live positional footage, not a taught lesson — there is no demonstration, reset-and-explain structure, or taught finish. Studied frame by frame, it shows what the bottom player (blue gi) actually does from underneath in half guard — leg entanglement, frames, and an underhook — while a live top player (black gi) keeps driving through, plus a fast scramble in the final seconds.
The bottom player in the blue gi is on his back with his knees up, entangling the kneeling top player's lead leg, feet working on the hip and thigh. His hands frame and grip at the top player's sleeve and collar area, and at moments he gestures upward while working — the pair are live, and another pair can be seen rolling in the background. The top player stays kneeling, hands on the bottom player's legs and pants, looking for a way in.
From a closer overhead angle, the bottom player posts a stiff forearm frame across the top player's neck/shoulder line to keep the pressure off, his other hand free and gesturing, while his legs keep hold of the top player's lead leg. The top player leans in over the frame but has not passed.
The top player commits and drives through to the side. The bottom player turns onto his side, traps the top player's leg between his own legs in half guard, and works an underhook and head frame as the top player posts a hand wide on the mat and drops his head low, driving in.
The top player settles his chest over the bottom player's upper body and keeps driving across. The bottom player stays curled on his side, legs still around the trapped leg, hands gripping the gi and framing around the top player's head and shoulder. At one point he points a finger while pinned — talking, not tapping — as the pressure phase continues with no break in the exchange.
The bottom player flattens more onto his back, pushing frames against the top player's shoulder and face line with both hands. The top player controls a leg/pants grip, drives his head in under the chin line, and works his weight across, with the bottom player's arm coming around the top player's head/back in a late underhook attempt as the top player settles heavy on top.
In the last seconds the exchange rolls through quickly: the bottom player in blue comes up and over, and the final frames show him uppermost, draped across the top player who is now on his back, holding onto a leg/arm as the clip cuts. It is a live scramble ending, not a settled, taught finish.
