White Belt · First Principles → Grips (No-Gi)
Deivid, standing facing the camera in a black Nebula rashguard, demonstrates five no-gi hand grips on his own arms — butterfly, gable, clap, seatbelt, and chain — each named by an on-screen label. He finishes by showing interlaced fingers, which the video itself labels "NOT A GRIP / DON'T DO."
After the opening title "NO GI GRIPS," his arms cross in front of his body and each hand grabs the opposite wrist/forearm, hands hooked over each other. The on-screen label reads "BUTTERFLY GRIP."
Palms press together in front of his chest, fingers wrapping over the backs of the hands, thumbs not interlaced. The label reads "GABLE GRIP."
One hand claps flat over the other, hand over hand, closing into a grip. The label reads "CLAP GRIP."
His arms cross diagonally in front of his torso like a seatbelt strap, one hand gripping the opposite wrist. The label reads "SEATBELT GRIP."
Each hand grips a wrist so the two hands link together like links in a chain, fists stacked. The label reads "CHAIN GRIP."
He opens both hands to the camera, then laces the fingers of both hands together. The label switches to "NOT A GRIP / DON'T DO," and a white box is drawn around the interlaced hands to underline the point.
